LGBTQ Therapy Online in Grand Rapids, MI, OH, IL, and FL
You. Are. Not. Alone. And. You. Matter!

Come as you are—confused, curious, hopeful, scared, all of the above. You don’t have to have the answers to start exploring the questions.
Maybe you’ve been feeling a quiet tug in your chest when someone calls you by a name or pronouns that don’t feel like you. Maybe you’re just starting to untangle who you are in terms of gender, sexuality, or both. You may find yourself exploring identity, navigating friendships or relationships, or carrying the weight of not feeling fully understood by those around you. Or maybe you are simply wanting a place where you don’t have to explain yourself.
Wherever you are in the process of discovery and belonging—you’re not alone. For over ten years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside LGBTQIA+ folks of all identities:
Trans and gender-expansive clients exploring self-understanding, medical and/or social transition, coming out, career impacts, parenting and fertility, and living more authentically.
Lesbian, gay, bi+, and queer clients navigating dating, friendship, intimacy, and even maybe building chosen family.
Couples and partners (monogamous, polyamorous, or somewhere in between) who want a space where their sexuality and identities are respected—not pathologized.
You deserve a counselor who gets it and honors your story without judgment.
My practice is not just affirming—it's experienced. I'm deeply familiar with the layers of this work. I know the mix of joy, relief, fear, and grief that can come with carving out an authentic life. I understand how exhausting it can be to wonder if you’ll have to explain yourself, edit your story, or brace for judgment in spaces that are supposed to be safe. My goal is to offer something different: a counseling space where you don’t have to translate, justify, or shrink yourself.
Together, we can explore identity, relationships, family, sexuality, and belonging in ways that feel safe, grounded, and true to you. I also offer LGBTQ+ couples counseling for partners who want to strengthen communication, intimacy, and connection. If your partner recently came out as transgender and you’re unsure what this means for your relationship, LGBTQ+ couples counseling can help. Whether or not gender or sexuality is part of the focus, you’ll have an affirming therapist who respects your relationship and honors your identities.
And if you're seeking gender-affirming care, I am comfortable and experienced in writing WPATH-compliant letters for clients who are engaged in ongoing counseling with me.
As a lesbian and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I see and deeply validate the uncertainties and safety concerns that can come with navigating your journey. I honor the bravery it takes to make space for these conversations and to seek support. This is a safe, affirming space where your identity and experiences will be honored without judgment.
